“New Girl”

To challenge gender inequality in Japan, “New Girl” highlights how sport is empowering a new generation of women. Part of Nike’s Play New campaign, the film follows families reacting to the birth of a baby girl—initially shaped by tradition, then inspired by powerful female athletes redefining what’s possible. The goal: support these changemakers and help all Japanese women move toward a more equal future through the confidence built in sport.
